Researchers at the International Space Agency discover that a giant meteor is headed toward Earth. World leaders are immediately asked to pool their resources together towards a last-minute solution.
A group of top scientists secretly begin a project called “Perstemico”, a massive ship designed to save the most skilled of Earth's population.

Rockets are launched to intercept and redirect the meteor. People cheer as they watch the live stream.

The first draft of Perstemico is complete. It is a massive ship unlike any before it, designed to hold up to 15,000 passengers.
Software engineers begin working on the ship's automated system.

Video arrives from the launched rockets as they approach their target. It becomes apparent that a miscalculation was made when the rockets crash land on the meteor's surface.

The designs for Perstemico are leaked. Headlines begin appearing calling the ship "an escape for the wealthy"
A group identifying themselves as Rise United People, or Rise UP, gather outside the UN Headquarters and start riots.

Project Perstemico is complete. After many redesigns it was able to accommodate 40,000 passengers.
Perstemico departs Earth and sets out into space.

Flight Commander Aisha Ortiz and her crew awaken from cryo-sleep, 200 light-years into their journey. A glitch revealed in the travel log suggests they are inside an asteroid belt near their destination.
Everyone agrees to remain awake for the rest of their journey to deal with any future concerns.

Starship Perstemico survives a rough landing at the 22nd parallel south of the equator in a Golipna forest.
68% of the passengers’ lives are lost due to either malfunctioning life support systems or the landing, with another 17% suffering moderate injuries.
They name their new home Rennova, establishing themselves as Rennovans.

The Resistance names their area, Lysafar, meaning "lights of danger", who then go on to invent the ELECTRICAL ROBOT.
