How it works
Jump into ranked and climb the ladder. No entry fee, no buy-in. Your skill is the only ticket.
Each season the ladder resets. Land in the top 10 and you're in the money.
Win a share of the USDC prize pool, a seasonal collectible, and the right to design cards everyone plays.
Skill-based competition. Free to enter, no purchase required to compete or win. The prize pool is funded by Two Robots Studios. Open to eligible players 18+; some regions excluded. Payouts subject to identity and tax verification. Full terms in the Official Rules.
Payments
Why USDC, not USD?
Our players are all over the world. A bank wire in dollars is slow, expensive, and often just not an option depending on where you live. USDC is a dollar-pegged stablecoin: one USDC is always worth one US dollar. It lets a winner in any country get paid instantly and safely, straight to their wallet, with no bank in the middle.
It also ties directly to how the prize pool is held. The money sits in an escrow smart contract that anyone can inspect. Paying out in USDC means the contract itself moves the funds to the winners, with no middleman deciding who gets what. That is what keeps it honest and transparent.
To be clear: Two Robots: Unleashed is not a “crypto game.” That label is misleading. There is no token to buy and nothing to speculate on. We use blockchain only as payment infrastructure, because traditional fiat rails are unreliable for a global player base, and the wider financial system is quietly moving the same direction.
How the competition works
The short version: play ranked, climb the leaderboard, and if you finish the season near the top, you win real money. Here are the details, in plain terms.
Who actually gets paid?+
It's a season-long leaderboard, not a one-day bracket. All season you play 1v1 ranked matches: win and you climb, lose and you slip. When the season ends, we look at the leaderboard and the players at the very top (say the top 10) split the prize pool. The higher you finish, the bigger your slice, 1st place gets the most. You don't have to win one special tournament on one special day. You just have to be one of the best players over the whole season.
Why a ladder and not a bracket?+
Because it's an always-online game. A bracket needs everyone logged in at the same time, seeded, and knocked out round by round, which is a scheduling nightmare. A ladder lets anyone compete on their own time, all season. You play 1v1 ranked matches, the game pairs you against players near your own skill so every match is a fair fight, and your rank rises or falls with each result, exactly like chess or Rocket League ranked. It rewards consistent skill over the whole season, not one lucky weekend run.
Can't someone get lucky, spike their rank, then hide to protect it?+
No. To be eligible for a payout you have to play a minimum number of ranked games that season (we set the bar, and can raise it). A short lucky streak does not qualify you. You have to keep showing up and keep winning against players at your level. The leaderboard rewards the genuinely best players over the season, not someone who got hot once and then stopped.
Do I have to pay to enter?+
No. Competing is completely free. There is no buy-in and no ticket. The prize pool is funded by the studio. You put in your skill and your time, never your money.
What is the "100 players" bar?+
A season only goes live and pays out once at least 100 players have competed (this number can change over time). It keeps things fair, we don't hand a big pool to a tiny field. If a season doesn't reach that bar, nobody loses anything: the pool simply returns to the studio and we run it again, bigger, next season.
Where is the prize money kept?+
In an escrow smart contract, basically a glass safe everyone can see into. Once the studio seeds it, the money is locked. It can only leave in one of two ways: paid out to the top players if the season goes live, or refunded to the studio if it does not. Anyone can verify on-chain that the money is really there.
I just play casually on the Saturday sessions. Does that count?+
Casual play and the weekly Saturday sessions are for fun and practice: no pressure, always free, and they do not affect the prize ladder. When you're ready to compete for real, hop into Ranked. Ranked is the ladder that decides the prize pool.
When and how do I get paid?+
At the end of the season. If you finish in the paid places, your share is sent in USDC (a dollar-pegged stablecoin) straight to your wallet, anywhere in the world, no bank required. Winners confirm a few details first (18+, region, and a tax form where required).
Is this gambling?+
No. You never pay to play and you never risk money. It is a skill competition with a studio-funded prize, closer to a chess tournament with a sponsor than anything you bet on. Skill decides it, not your wallet.
